添加打补丁功能 Symantec发布Ghost8.0

Symantec在10月20号发布了万众期待的Ghost 8.0。该版本的最新功能是让用户方便地对系统升级补丁。这样做的好处是，无论是台式机还是笔记本电脑，系统升级从此不必下载大体积的新版本了。而即使在Ghost 7.0时代，用户升级应用软件或操作系统时都必须在一个指定地方下载一个全新版本来进行升级。
　　“现在我们能够应用各种补丁了，并且更加快了，”Symantec的高级产品专家Stuart Sing如是说。当然除了应付升级外，Ghost 8.0还有灾难修复的主要功能。但是Ghost 8.0会占用本已相当紊乱的带宽，Symantec必须解决一个问题，使存在于PC系统里的简表文档的组织更加有效。例如，它应该能识别计算机是否有足够的内存及硬盘空间来实现操作系统的升级；由此用户可以选择自己最合适的简表文档来进行升级。
　　该功能另有其它妙用。如果用来识别PC是否打了最新的补丁，用户就就可以对自己的软件实现远程升级。带宽的消耗现采用了一项被称为“客户分段传输区域”的技术，允许用户在自己的硬盘上存储一个额外的软件版本。如果当前软件损坏了，那么备份的该版本就马上可以发挥作用而无需通过上网来解决问题了。
