请问pauly，交换分区功能的实现，修改激活标志后，是发个系统消息，还是调用API，或其它方法？

Hello,sorry that i post in english(i don't know chinese). First i want to thank Pauly :) for this great tool.But maybe it has a little bug :



Translation of error (from russian to english) : Error read sector -1:Сan not find the sector on the disk

All other options work well,but when i press the button "Activate this partition" this messagebox pops out 2 times after that BootIce 0.6.3 shows that current PBR Type is "Unknown" (but it was Grub4dos type) and if i close and restart BootIce again it shows that PBR is "Grub4Dos"

因楼主以前的更新记录删除了, 我来回答你:
1JF9ze V3.31版的bootice的最后版本是20090617
从20090624开始更换为1JF9k V6.9版.

如果楼主的bootice中1JF9能包括三个版本就最好了:
1 1JF9k V6.9 支持隐藏逻辑分区启动.
2 1JF9ze V3.31 支持隐藏最后主分区启动(及备用主分区系统启动)
3 1JF9y 2009-9-6版  支持隐藏最后主分区启动, 并且备用主分区系统和主分区系统互为隐藏.

Sorry for the bug, but it seems like a strange problem.

First, is there any items in the partitions listbox? Or, is there some items when you choose another disk in the main screen?

Does "Backup PBR" works? If does, backup 8 sectors of this partition to a file, otherwise, backup the first 8 sectors of this partition to a file, using WinHex. Then post that file to this forum.

And your MBR (partition table) is also required. Let's see what's the problem :-)

Also wanted to say that maybe it would be a good idea to make BootICE to work with floppies :) , maybe somebody will need that feature(for example FreeDOS / Windows95-98 PBR).
And i think it would be great if you include the "format" feature in BootICE(but not standart microsoft "format" type,a more "smarter" format),if you do this, BootICE would be the perfect tool for managing HDD/USB/Floppy devices, because for example i always use only Paragon Partition Manager 10 Server for formating my USB flash and HDD Drives,i think it's better then acronis + offers more features (for example acronis doesn't see usb flash drives,unless in their MBR they have a partition table,but people who format with standart microsoft "format",doesn't realize that by formatting usb flash with built-in microsoft "format" they DOES NOT create a partition table on USB Flash,they create kind of "USB-Floppy")

The picture you posted in #982 seems correct, is it the same USB-HDD as you posted in #978? Maybe it was an occasional case :-)

About the re-partition and format function, BOOTICE has already this function, but it's for the Removeable Disks now. If there is a Removeable usb flash disk, BOOTICE allows you to re-partition and format each partition. You can re-partition it as USB-FDD or USB-HDD.

It's not an USB-HDD :) (but yes,it's the same drive), it's a USB Flash Removable Drive which i modified with CBM209X_UmptoolV1.9.32_1105_(081105) , i only changed my drive from "removable" to "fixed" and also changed it's name to "stalin hdd".

I've tested another USB removable drive (it's also o modified version from "removable" to "fixed") and this error with "activate partition" appeared too.



My USB Removable device (It was someday a OCZ Rally2 Flash , before i "patched" my flash accidentally):

It seems that this problem occurs when you modify your UFD from "removeable" to "fixed", not sure. So, if the partitions listbox seems blank, dont's do anything with your PBR.

It's a really strange thing. In my codes, when the listbox is empty, the PBR dialog won't display. But your partitions listbox seems empty, the dialog displays anyway. Does the PBR work fine with others disks? Or, what's the volume lable of this drive?

Finally, I understood what caused the problem through your video, after you "Activate" a partition in the list, the program will refresh the list. But the only item in the list hasn't be chosen automatically for some reason, so when the program tryied to readout the partition index from the item text, it got an error number. It caused the problem.

Now I updated BOOTICE, try the new version at #1. Please post your feedback.

还存在一个分区激活的问题：
现有的系统是win7，然后光盘安装了Mac，进pe使用bootice更改mbr为nt6.x，第一分区（win7）也再写入nt6.x，重启无法引导，再进pe发现，激活分区仍在mac区。
能加入激活分区功能吗？

Pauly i also remembered something about BootICE , i wanted to request a command line version of this tool please :) .(if you will make it,please if you can do not separate the command and GUI version in 2 different files,it's better to have "all-in-one" utility commandline+gui .)
