我下载的 5.1 是在别处，我忘了在哪里。估计原始的来源就是你提到的这个地方。

1、你说该帖作者添加了一些私货，那就是说，他没有去掉什么，只是添加。那我是否可以这么理解：这个版本与你亲自做的那个版本，没有本质差别；比如说，没有安插后门，因此不存在安全问题。

唉，依赖关系——八成又是不兼容性的原因或结果。不兼容性是发行版制作者造成的，是他们有意制造的。每个软件都有 configure，make，make install 的标准步骤，如果发行版制作者尊重原始软件的默认安装位置，它就不会乱。是发行版制作者随便更改软件安装位置，才导致的混乱。

相信终有一天，捣乱者会没劲了。那时候，某个占据统治地位的发行版，将成为事实标准。

LFS 或者类似的努力，可能最终一统江山。

言归正传。wifislax 也许是命运之神眷顾了，它在无线网络驱动程序方面很稳定。其实，稳定压倒一切。当初 grub4dos 为何在无广告的情况下普及开来？那也是稳定二字。虽然 grub4dos 一直是不稳定、一直在解决稳定性问题，但相对而言、相比于别的同类软件，grub4dos 在稳定性方面还是占据了压倒性优势。

我试过许多发行版，包括 debian、ubuntu 这类有名气的。它们在稳定性方面都有问题。有的是很低级的问题，比如在虚拟机上竟然都会安装失败。能 “稳定” 确实很难。当然，来自 OEM 制造商的打压，那是肯定有的。也许 Wifislax 巧妙躲过了 oem 制造商的打压（没有引起打压者的注意）？也或许 wifislax 的开发者确实在认真工作？不管是哪种原因，其结果是，它很稳定。那就应该以它为基础来 “搞事”。正如在ＢＩＯＳ启动方面，肯定得以 grub4dos 为基础来搞事，否则必然碰得头破血流。

不稳定 —— 就 “一票否决”。

尽管 wifislax 不如 startOS 那么华丽，但它比 startOS 稳定。仅此一条，就能干掉 startOS。这是说在我心目中，我是这样的想法。别人怎么想，那当然不是我能管得了的。

在你的 startOS 下敲 lsusb，显示 “未找到命令”。

注意：你挂 usb 盘的参数不正确！因此，不可能显示中文文件名！

你没有使用 utf8，而是使用 codepage＝437 以及 iocharset＝iso8859-1 —— 这参数早都该扔垃圾箱了。

作为对比，你看看 wifislax 挂载 U 盘的参数：

wifislax 不仅带有 utf8，而且带了 exec。而 startOS 没带 exec，就无法运行 U 盘上的 firefox（或别的二进制软件）。

用utf8的。
编缉 /usr/lib/initcpio/install/squashfs ，在build函数那，增加add_module nls_cp936 及 add_module nls_utf8，重新生成initram.img，可以解决中文乱码问题。
sudo mkinitcpio -p linux 用生成新的initram.img引导。
网卡看驱动起来了，ifconfig什么输出
系统在我用的精简的，一些常用工具忘了加进来。

网卡是否驱动起来了，我不知道。但我知道每过几分钟，桌面就要卡死一两分钟。不能显示出 wifi 信号，系统托盘那儿只有一个有线的图标，打了个叉（我没有有线网络，只有无线网络，因而无法上网）。

你说的编辑什么文件，以及如何打包，这已经超出我的能力了。这我就帮不上忙了，你自己弄吧。

目前你这个 startOS 版本是卡死的，根本不出现 Wifi 图标，当然就更不能谈搜索 Wifi 信号了。

另外，你拔掉有线，只用无线来测试，才算是模拟我的环境。

还有，就算是 USB 网卡一模一样，但你的电脑与我的不同，在你的电脑上成功了，并不能说明你采用的软件是没问题的。只要有一台失败（比如我的这台），那就是失败。

dmesg 截取了，但恐怕你不需要它了，所以，我就不贴它的内容了。

今天第一次开机进入 startOS 时，卡死了大约 10 ～ 15 分钟，无法进入桌面。卡死时，最后一行显示的信息如下：

[ 19.213056]rtl_usb: reg 0x4, usbctrl_vendorreq Timeout! status:0xffffffb9 value=0x10358e0

按键盘上的任意键，都无反应。按 Ctrl+ALt+Del 也无响应。但系统没死机，鼠标能动。按机箱上的开关，有响应，开始执行关机的步骤。但关机过程中死机（也许没死，但我不想长时间等待），于是我就按住开关不放，硬关机。

关机后，再次开机，顺利进入桌面。此时 wifi 竟然能连上了！这就是在 startOS 下发帖。

但不要高兴，因为这是极少数异常情况。绝大多数情况都是 Wifi 无法工作。这次不仅 Wifi 能工作，而且不再发生桌面频繁卡死的现象了。

像往常一样，我没有任何特殊的操作，我没有禁止 NetworkManager。

遇到了，关了nm，开systemd-networkd，开了几次机，再开nm又正常用无线卡了，但重启至win7,网卡驱动正常，连不了网，拨了插另一口才正常，或者断电也可以。

很抱歉，还没有下载你的新版。我依旧是使用你最早发布的那个版本。现在报告一下使用情况。

在一台 win10 笔记本上，wifislax 无法启动。我猜是因为 wifislax 的那个旧版的 kernel 不支持 EFI（这台笔记本不支持 BIOS），所以无法启动。然而你的 startOS 成功启动。我是使用 rEFInd 直接加载 startOS 的 kernel 而启动成功的。但进入桌面后，触摸板失效，只能用外接的鼠标。笔记本的无线网卡也无效，只能外插 usb 无线网卡。这台笔记本已经不在我这里了。

另一台新笔记本（三星 500R3M），支持 CSM 模式（换句话说，就是支持 BIOS），所以也支持 Win7、XP，我用 wifislax 启动后，触摸板和无线网卡都失效。但 startOS 却成功驱动板载的无线网卡（触摸板也是不能驱动）。

这说明，startOS 在新电脑上具有更高的成功率。

要是 startOS 能够驱动新笔记本的触摸板，那就更完美了。

很抱歉，我依旧使用的是你第一次发布的那个 startOS 版本。新版等以后有时间了再试验。

我的 U 盘上有个 startos 文件夹，里面有三个文件：

initramfs.img
system.squashfs
vmlinuz

我的 U 盘是 FAT32 格式，卷标是大写的 WIFISLAX，这个卷标是可以用 Windows 的资源管理器修改，就是鼠标右键单击 U 盘盘符，在弹出菜单中选择 “重命名”，这就是更改卷标啦。。

我启动 startos 的 grub4dos 菜单是：

title StartOS - Always Fresh Mode\n进入桌面环境,不保存配置
kernel /startos/vmlinuz squashfs=LABEL=WIFISLAX:/startos/system.squashfs ro quiet splash _tmpfs=y
initrd /startos/initramfs.img

在 EFI 之下，也很容易照葫芦画瓢进行修改。我使用 rEFInd 来启动 startos，相应的配置语句如下：

据我所知，Linux 目前对于 NTFS 的支持已经很好了。我猜，只要不是特别古怪的那种 NTFS（比如加密、压缩之类的），Linux 都可以很好地支持。

但是，NTFS 在 U 盘上是不合适的。很多主板只支持 FAT 格式的 U 盘启动。

假如你的 NTFS 的 U 盘能够在你的机器上启动，那么，Linux 支持它是没问题的。我猜，大多数 Linux 的发行版都像支持 FAT 那样，也支持 NTFS。

菜单代码应该不需要改动，就能适应 NTFS 的情况。很抱歉，我无法试验，因为我的 U 盘都是 FAT 格式。

支持exfat、ntfs及主流Linux分区启动。
新版命令行参数有变化，指定sfs文件目录即可。请看说明

11月最新版已经在新笔记本测试，触摸板仍不支持。笔记本内置的无线网卡是支持的。

我在这个三星笔记本上安装了 debian 9.5，它支持触摸板。但 debian 9.5 不支持笔记本内置无线网卡。

请问：

1、如何从 debian 里面提取触摸板驱动？

2、如何从 startOS 提取无线网卡驱动给 debian 用？

dpkg -l | grep xf86-input
看debian是用什么驱动，或者把debian的/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d下的配置文件拷到StartOS看，可以用么。另用xinput list 输出参照看。
debian的无线卡驱动，不知debian的内核是什么，可以去下最新的（debian及ubuntu都有最新的kernel打包）装上试试。或者把startos的vmlinuz及modules拷到debian，重新生成initram.img试试。
